On Monday, July 15th Entsorga hosted the visit of Surya Internusa, a high profile Indonesian industrial group listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange, traveling to Italy to see in person operations and investigate our business model and our SRF production technology. Interest in our solutions was raised by reading an article about the opening of the Martinsburg plant in West Virginia. The Indonesian market, in fact, is quite similar to the U.S. East Coast, where separate collection is still not widespread and where is emerging the need to find a safer and more sustainable alternative to landfilling of Municipal Solid Waste.

The delegation from Surya Internusa, represented by the President and the General Manager respectively, was welcomed in our offices in Tortona for a general presentation of the Entsorga Group and our treatment technologies, and then visited the Santhià flagship plant . Guided by our CEO G. Francesco Galanzino, the visit focused on stabilizing and refining unsorted municipal waste to obtain a high quality alternative fuel, excellent for being coprocessed in cement kilns, power plants and gasification platforms

Today Indonesia is increasingly sensitive to environmental issues and ready to adopt innovative approaches to support a more sustainable waste management system. This visit marks an excellent starting point for a potential collaboration on a number of future opportunities
