Biomethane is more than just a renewable energy source.
Talking about it in these terms risks conveying a reductive view, which loses sight of its true potential.
With the “Biomethane Factor” campaign, Legambiente has been working for years to clarify the issue, helping citizens and administrators fully understand what it is.
“Well-built” plants, like those promoted by the campaign, do more than just produce energy. When built with efficient technologies and managed in a controlled manner, they become a concrete tool for addressing urgent environmental issues, such as the disposal of agricultural waste and the fight against climate change. They also offer an opportunity to improve soil quality, thanks to the use of digestate, the organic matter left over after biomethane extraction and a valuable resource for field fertility.
To share our experience in designing and building well-built biomethane plants, on Wednesday, December 10th, our CEO G.F. Galanzino will speak at the Circular Economy meeting organized by Legambiente Piemonte and Valle d’Aosta, an important thematic forum where every year discussions, discussions, and insights on waste and circularity converge.
