Biogas and Biomethane from food waste. Our experience in two roundtable discussions in Birmingham

It is no mystery that Italy can boast several global best practices in the biogas sector. Here, much earlier than in other countries, challenges related to food waste treatment have been faced, patenting the best technologies to solve critical issues and make the whole recovery process really efficient and performant.

And this is precisely what our President Pier Paolo Cella Mazzariol will focus on, bringing Entsorga’s long experience in the treatment of food waste to produce biogas and biomethane, participating in two panel discussions on Wednesday, July 10 and Thursday, July 11 as part of the World Biogas Summit and World Biogas Expo organized in Birmingham by the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) and the World Biogas Association (WBA).

The event, which brings together the major players in anaerobic digestion and biogas, is the only trade show dedicated exclusively to the sector and this year hosts more than 150 companies with their products, services and innovations. The focus of this edition is precisely the rapid growth of the industry on a global scale: in the UK alone, for example, the sector is expected to overtake nuclear power by 2029.
