A very high-profile edition of Ecomondo, the one at which Entsorga had the pleasure of participating last week at the Rimini fair, with 1,300 companies from 30 countries.
At the main European event on the theme of the circular and green economy, Entsorga participated in the area dedicated to the circular bioeconomy, a strategic “hinge” sector between the electricity and gas systems, which aimed to optimize the business of all the companies involved worldwide in the production of renewable biological resources.
Among the renewable resources one has been the undisputed protagonist of our presence at the fair: biomethane, a precious source of renewable energy that can be extracted from organic waste.
Thanks to the exclusive agreement for Italy signed with Eisenmann Corporation, our group presented Semi-Dry anaerobic digestion technology, an innovative treatment method to produce biogas in a safe and efficient way, which has the right characteristics to become a global market reference.
A text bench for this new technology will be the expansion of the composting plant of Santhià in Italy, which Entsorga is building on behalf of Iren, which recently took over the ownership of our company Territorio e Risorse S.r.l..
The interest of the operators around the biomethane is progressively growing also thanks to the decree of the MISE, decisive for the development of this sector.
Among the essential innovations introduced by the decree, the withdrawal by the GSE of biomethane at a fixed price, which will guarantee the bankability of investments in the sector and the conversion of existing plants.
Also for this reason, the next Entsorga campaign reserved for customers who have already built a composting plant will be dedicated to biomethane.
Our group is now ready to offer these customers a fast and highly efficient upgrade to produce biomethane, and thus enter a market with very interesting prospects.
